Surfing and Sharks crew returning to the beachhouse for premiere
The crew of the movie: ‘Surfing and Sharks’ will come and stay in the beachhouse next week. This is the place where it all started..
This documentary goes up close with Pro Surfers Lungani, Andrew and Avuyile, their family’s traditions and tribulations along side a hand selected group of the best shark experts from the region to uncover the real secrets and stories that surround the shark stigma that exists in South Africa.
The Official World Premiere of this documentary will be at the Wavescape Film Festival in Capetown, in early December 15th 2011 so let us know if you want to join us!

Kite-Egmond enjoyed their stay in The Beachhouse last season, this is their story and video: one love!
Wintertime in Holland can be fun but most of the days are grey and cold. In February we had enough of it and decided it was time to get the summer feeling back. We packed all our gear and headed off to Cape Town, to the Endless Summer Beachhouse.
We’ve been there a few times before so we knew Cape Town is a great place for kiteboarding and paragliding. But this year was different. Just before we left Holland a package arrived from Ozone, 3 brand new XT16 speedwings and Atak harnesses.
A few hours after our plane landed in Cape Town we already launched our new speedwings from Lions Head and had an amazing flight down to Camps Bay.
In Cape Town the wind always picks up in the afternoon so we switched the XT16’s for our custom C4’s and had a great afternoon session in Table View right in front of our guesthouse.
After this first day we realized the next 3 weeks were going to be great. We knew where to go for kiting and gliding but it was an adventure to find the right spots for speedflying. The local Ozone dealer told us about Chapmans Peak. After a nice hike up there are multiple launches. Had some great flights there!

Red Bull The Netherlands visiting Endless Summer
Perfect day; after a night of hot clubbing in The Fezz, all people from Red Bull Netherlands went for some paragliding, canyoning, sharkdiving and other cool activities.
Then they ended up at the beachhouse to start off with some S.U.P. untill the wind picked up for some kiting action. Meanwhile the vibe was super in the garden where everybody was dancing on the tunes of Ruben Lenten while watching Aaron putting up a show on the water.

So it’s now been a full week that I’ve been in Cape Town and, in terms of the total time I’ve spent in Cape Town (including trips prior to this one), I’ve broken the back of six months. Yet again, it hasn’t disappointed.
I’m lucky enough to work with, and be hosted by, people who are the real deal. Grant and Alex who run The Endless Summer Beach House and the Surf House are fine examples. ‘Live life to the full and experience as much as you can’ is the motto they apply to the atmospheres in their houses. There are only rare opportunities to experience all that this area has to offer when it’s not windy, but if the Cape Doctor does ever switch off, this place is an adventurer’s paradise. This awesome Dutch-SA combo duo have me lined up on shark dives, sky-dives, bungy jumps and road trips. So when the wind does stop, it’s game on in a different way. Plus, any guys who can party as hard as Hadlow and Lenten and still keep the operation running like a finely oiled machine, must be doing something right.
Grant said to me the other day that one of the reasons Cape Town has such a aura about it is because of that huge energy source over-looking it – Table Mountain. It’s immense and absolutely gorgeous. Occasionally I’ve forgotten it’s there and looked over at it as I’m zoning out driving around the bay to another session and have got goose bumps down my arm.
